A very sick frangipani with red/yellow dots on the back of the leaves, and falling leaves.
It looked like frangipani rust which looks like this
Frangipani rust |
The celery heart I planted a few weeks ago is dead & had little black flying insects all around it - got out the pyrethrum spray and it looks like it did the trick. No idea why it happened, it had looked quite good until then.
The dill and 2nd borage plant - DEAD as door nails. No idea why that happened.
The lime tree is yellowing and dropping its leaves. So, liberal amounts of poultry manure (dynamic lifter) plus watered in chelates, then leave the water sprinkler on for about an hour should help it.
Today the frangipani is looking much healthier so there may be hope for the lime tree! 'Im afraid the dill, borage and celery have gone to heaven however. I will have another go at these in spring.
On the plus side, we have had one quote for decreasing the size of the mango tree and pruning the crepe mertyls. Rather expensive, but it needs to be done. We have marked out where we want to build a rose garden, and chosen the roses. Only 4-5 weeks to get it done though.
Here is my favourite rose, the Double Delight:
